We got to see all the benifits of how amazing your lashes can look if you use this product!

Inspired by the tradition of blowing on an eyelash to make wishes come true, the teams are challenged to raise the most funds to help grant children’s wishes, and they need your help.

Between now and November 30, 2010, Allergan will double each donation made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation through Latisse Wishes Challenge Campaign, with a maximum of $250,000.The total number of Latisse trial certificates is limited to the first 10,000 participants who make a minimum donation of $20 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Offer limited to one Latisse trial certificate per person and U.S. residents only. This is such a GREAT deal since Latisse retails for $125!!

All you have to do is visit www.latissewisheschallenge.com to join team Bobbie by donating a minimum of $20 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. After doing so you will receive a Latisse free trial certificate and schedule an appointment with your doctor to see if Latisse is right for you.

Six Items or Less 30 day Challenge

I had a stylist friend of mine, Robert Ballew, challenge me to wear only 6 main clothing items for the next 30 days. It is to raise awareness for Fresh Start Women's Foundation. I accepted the challenge, and after going thru my closet, I chose the following for a fall wardrobe in AZ. Black skirt, beige skirt, black, grey and purple tshirts, and a black dressier top. I am making a one day exception to this rule (yes- you can make a few exceptions if you need) for a wedding I am attending at the end of the month so I dont have to wear all black to the wedding. Lets see how creative I can become with vests, and accessories this month!

How many times do we stand in our closet and say that we have nothing to wear. With so many people looking for new jobs these days, and not having a budget for that new wardrobe, start thinking outside the box (or closet!) By having just a few key pieces (even as few as 6!) and accessories, you can vary your looks enough to dress for over a month, with very few people knowing that you only have 6 pieces in your wardrobe. There are some exceptions that do not count towards the six items: undergarments, swim wear, workout clothes, work uniforms, outer jackets (rain slicker, outdoor jacket, sweaters), shoes and accessories.... THANK GOODNESS!!!

If you would like to take a look at your wardrobe, and take this challenge with us, please let us know! We would also like for you to go thru your wardrobe, and help donate clothes to Fresh Start so that we can help give women a chance to start over!
There is also a place to donate directly to Fresh Start on LifeLibertyLux.com.

Question to Robert Ballew on LifeLibertyLux.com

This was an article that I wrote for the www.LifeLibertyLux.com website.

“Okay Robert…[Style Commandment]#8… makeup and I don’t get along. Think ‘nature girl’. Contacts made me stop wearing mascara, as did the popular spider eye look… but every once in a while I feel the need (and… I stopped the contacts!). BUT I hate most/all of the products… with what line are you seeing women have the most success (read: happiness)?” April M

April,
I am sorry that you have had problems with makeup in the past. So many times we will try three or four products, and we have a bad reaction, and feel that we can not wear anything. There are some amazing products that you can use, and still have a “natural” look! Most people that don’t wear makeup- feel more comfortable putting on 3 or 4 products, not a dozen. Don’t buy too many items, only do a couple of things to bring your eyes out and even out your skin tone. You will not only feel more comfortable, but you will look like yourself! If you go to a cosmetic store to get advice, tell them you only want to work with 4 or 5 products- they should not only be willing to do it- but should be happy to show you how to do it!

Some of my favorites are…

I am a huge fan of Purely Cosmetics mineral foundations. They can be layered for a light to a fuller coverage. The loose mineral makeup foundations are chemical, dye, and talc- free. They are so pure that they’re an ideal match for people with problem acne, as there is nothing to clog your pores. Our pure mineral makeup is hypo- allergenic, so it won’t rub off, has sun protection, and extremely lightweight. There are also a great number of tinted moisturizers out there. They are usually a light weight moisturizer that has a sunscreen, and a light tint. My favorites are Jan Marini or Laura Mercier.

Since you are no longer wearing contacts, it will give you a lot more options in shadows and mascaras. I am a fan of the waterproof mascaras if you tend to smudge. The key to a waterproof mascara, is to get the waterproof eye makeup remover to go with it, and use it! There are two that I love! If I had an unlimited buget…. the YSL false lash mascara in waterproof is by far my favorite! It does keeps my lashes feeling soft and natural, while giving a thick full lash, but when you need to replace your mascara every 4-6 weeks, it does get to be more of a luxury. In my kit I use the Cover Girl Lash Blast. It is a great alternative, and still comes off easily with a remover. They will both hold up to humidity and swimming well too!

If you are going to wear an eye shadow, I suggest a cream, or using a shadow base with your powders. A cream shadow like Makeup Forever’s Aqua-Cream is an amazing product. You can use it as an eye liner, an eye shadow, or both! It is easy to use, you can layer the colors, and they stay put! There are also cream eye shadow bases like Laura Merciers, that comes in multiple colors so you can use them by them selves or by putting shadow on top of it. It will not only help to hold the shadow in place, but will also help keep the colors of the shadows true.

Finish the look with a lip gloss. You will not only feel more like yourself, you wont feel like someone else! I have some favorites that are $1.99 at Walgreens, all the way to Chanel’s Glossimer lip gloss. It is one of those things you will have to see what you like.
Please fell free to email me if you have any other questions!

Sincerely,

Heather Wilson

Heat Proof your makeup

I got the opportunity to be on Your Life A-Z yesterday to tell Arizona how to heat proof your summer makeup.

Start with putting your eye cream and your toner in the refrigerator. I love the Sampar Eye Rule because when cool, the roller ball helps reduce puffyness even more!

Make sure you follow your skincare with a sunscreen- either by its self, or in a tinted moisturizer. I was showing the Jan Marini sunscreen and the Cargo Tinted Moisturizer. If you tend to be really oily or sweaty in this weather, be sure to put on an oil obsorbing lotion, it will help to control any shine that you may have. Try the Bliss Oil Control Lotion.

There are a lot of new water proof, and water resistant products out there. Some of my tried and tested products are the Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Liner. Laura Mercier Eye Shadow base, Cover Girl Waterproof Lashblast Mascara, Nars cream blush, and the Cover Girl lip stains.

Thank you to Gabrielle for her beautiful face...

my Talika Lipocils experience

To be honest with you.... I was a skeptic.

Can a product that is 1/2 the price of those big name brands grow my lashes as long as the ads say?? The Talika Lipocils ads say that "in 28 days you can have lashes that are 36% longer. Its new and improved formula made from a blend of natural actives to regrow sparse lashes, grow and thicken existing ones, magnify color and curl your lashes. You can have longer, fuller, darker lashes with beautiful, eye opening curl in just 28 days!...without side effects."

I recieved my tube of Lipocils mid Jan, and started using the product a couple of weeks later. I have super blonde lashes, so in order for you to see the difference in the leangth of my lashes, I did have to put mascara on. Here is the photo that I took the first of Feb.

The product is really easy to use. It is a clear gel that you put on just like you would a mascara, morning and night along with your skincare. I knew my lashes were growing, just did not realize how much!!! After taking about 100 pics to get one at the same angle that was in focus... I am able to show you the after photo!

I am sold!!! I will not be without my Lipocils!! Order yours today!!

While you are ordering your Lipocils... order they Eye Dream as well!! I have definitely been impressed with the depuffing and fine line improvement!

Shopping with Clients

I had a great long time client call the other day asking for an update to her makeup bag. She is traveling to Europe for 3 weeks this summer. They would be spending time on the beach as well as going to the opera and formal events while there and asked what basics she could take with to get the maximum looks, with the fewest products. I am a firm believer in multi-tasking products, while traveling with as little as possible! We took off to the mall so I could show her how to use the following products, as well as help her find the correct colors for her. I can do the same for you if you want!

Here are some of the products we were looking for:

Tinted Moisturizer Find a good tinted moisturizer that has a sunscreen and a light tint. It will give some coverage to even out the skin, and protect and moisturize at the same time. Some of my favorites are ">Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer or the ">Jan Marini Tinted Moisturizer.

Cream Blush Most cream blushes can be both a blush and a lip tint. You can vary the color for day or night, as well as add a touch of color to your lips. Try ">Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge For Lips And Cheeks or ">Nars Cream Blush.

Gel Eyeliner The best part of a gel eyeliner is that you do not have to worry about it smudging or wearing off through the day, and they are waterproof... yet you can get a very fine, or smoke it out for the evening. Some of my favorites- MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Creamliner or Purely Cosmetics Gel Liner

Palette find a line that has a container to hold multiple eye shadows or lip colors. MAKE UP FOR EVER and Yaby Cosmetics both have shadow palettes and shadows to fill it with that can not be beat! Yaby Cosmetics also has a palette that you can put shadows and lips in! Japanesque has empty palettes that can be filled with 6 of your favorite lipsticks, so you dont have a bunch of tube rolling around your purse.

Lips Lips definitely need protection while on vacation. We are subjected to sun, and wind, and without that special care, our lips can end up chapped and painful. Try ">Orlane Lip Screen or ">Laura Mercier Lip Silk

Waterproof Mascara Traveling is not the time to be trying new products... but these waterproof mascaras will hold up to any beach time as well as keep you looking fabulous for your evening at the Opera! YSL Luxurious Mascara and ">Cle de Peau Mascara.

I hope you all have a fun summer break!! Please let me know what your favorites are!

Do you have Dark Under Eye Circles

Sadly... we all wake up with them on occassion.

There are ways to hide and get rid of those pesky dark circles! Are your dark circles given down to you from your parents, from allergies, or just a rough night out?? If you answered yes to any of those, use a good eye cream such as ">Sampar Eye Rule and a good concealer! There are all kinds of eye creams out there that will help with puffiness, and reducing those dark circles. I like to keep my ">Sampar Eye Rule in the refrigerator, so that it is a cool roller ball that refreshes, while reducing the puffiness and darkness. Then I will use the ">Bobbi Brown creamy concealers. Depending on how dark you are, you may need a peachy base first to cut the blue of the dark circles. I like the ">Bisque Bobbi Brown concealer, then cover that with the correct shade to match your skin tone. The best application is with a brush, then pat it in to the skin so that you dont get creasing or smudging. If you tend to be oilier, you may need to put a little powder on the concealer to help with the wearability.

If you have any other questions... please ask!!!
